Arabian Prince, Founder of NWA, Launches “Covitech” To Help Underprivileged Communities Get Back To Work

Covitech launches it’s Return-To-Work platform to test, inform and protect employees at small and midsize businesses. As states start to reopen almost completely, small and medium-sized businesses have to ensure that workers and customers are protected in the workplace. COVID testing is listed as one of the protocols to reopening businesses. Software developers at Art+Logic, health care experts at Hudson Scientific, veteran tech advisors and entrepreneurs, including Arabian Prince, founding member of legendary rap group NWA have created this development to ensure safety in the workplace.

In the face of COVID-19, it is important to do all things necessary to implement effective coronavirus response programs to help small and midsize businesses in underserved communities adapt to the reopening. Covitech enables these companies to leverage collective purchasing power to access software, screening tools, and containment products that would otherwise be out of reach.

“The COVID-19 crisis has revealed many inefficiencies in an employer’s ability to address public health and information needs. The complex decisions required to run a successful business are nearly impossible to make alone.” “The need for digital infrastructure to support these problems is clear. Technology that ensures departments are properly following the constantly changing protocols of the CDC, FDA, state, or local government will address this operations nightmare. It also helps the public to feel safe.”

It is no secret that the effects of COVID-19 on the health of Black Americans are substantially worse than those of white Americans. According to the CDC, “Health differences between racial and ethnic groups are often due to economic and social conditions that are more common among some racial and ethnic minorities than whites. In public health emergencies, these conditions can also isolate people from the resources they need to prepare for and respond to outbreaks”. Covitech offers back-to-work solutions to businesses by combining compliant software, screening, and containment to keep employees safe. It harnesses the power of collective purchasing of PPE, medical supplies, regulatory consulting, and software to make vital resources accessible to small and midsize businesses.

Without access to large-scale purchasing power, smaller companies in particular are affected immensely. That’s why Covitech has developed compliant, cloud-based and mobile-app suites that are fully customizable, creating a more effective way to screen, inform and protect employees and customers, all while complying with applicable laws and maintaining employee privacy.

“The technological basis, that helps us optimize distribution, maintain trust, and equalize access to resources, is what we’re building here.” We want to bring better safety measures and appropriate responses to underserved and overlooked communities and businesses at a time when they desperately need a solution to this challenge.”

Songwriter, rapper, producer, DJ, technologist Pro Gamer and futurist, Arabian is best known for being a founding member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted rap group N.W.A., pioneering west coast electro music and producing the Grammy nominated #1 hit song Supersonic. He is the founder of iNov8 Next Open Labs and president of LAFTC – The Los Angeles First Tech Challenge robotics competition and partner at Black Dog Gaming.

Arabian Prince’s passion for technology led to him create a 3D animation and special effects studio in the 90’s working with companies like Saban Entertainment and Fox, including 100+ video game, film and TV titles for Fox interactive and Vivendi Universal. As a consultant, Arabian has advised many companies on bridging the gap between technology and the youth, while bringing new product innovations to market. He is currently working with his tech partners to bring Open Labs to communities across the country in support of youth, women, diversity, veterans and anyone else who wants to explore the future of technology.

Arabian Prince’s dedication to disadvantaged communities drives his passion to start Covitech. “We really focus on the inner city communities and inner city businesses to help them get the support that they actually need”, he expressed, explaining why Covitech was founded.

The first step is applying Covitech’s detailed protocol for workplace screening, supported by ongoing comprehensive COVID-19 testing resources, which can be arranged on site via a third party. The results are then reported via Covitech’s easy-to-understand platform, which only allows authorized parties to view identifiable information, while notifying employees with positive results via a mobile app and advising them on next steps for them and their families. Finally, Covitech provides sources of personal protective equipment, surface and hand disinfection, and containment solutions. This comprehensive approach stands in contrast to the uncertainty many business leaders are facing.

“Every business is different. The various protocols and directives that agencies and experts have shared with business owners make execution, communication, and planning more complicated,” explains Paul Hershenson of Art+Logic and Co-Founder of Covitech. “We’re working with businesses to implement the best fit for their particular needs and the needs of their employees and customers.”
